Swerve’s annual black tie ball offers the region’s singletons an excellent opportunity to glam up and get together for what has become Bristol’s premiere dating event.

Eligiball always sees the start of many lasting relationships (see Success Stories) and Swerve is happy to take full responsibility for ending a life of singledom for so many of its members!

We are aware that the thought of coming along to an event on your own is terribly daunting – however, please do not let this put you off attending this fab event as we are always happy to arrange for guests to meet up beforehand so that they can arrive together.

This year we thought we would to give something back to the community and so Eligiball is going “charitaball” - we will be taking the opportunity to raise funds on behalf of St Peter’s Hospice.

Sadly, the majority of people these days know of someone who has suffered from a terminal illness. St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's only adult hospice caring for over 1600 local people with incurable illnesses each year, as well as providing support to their families and children. All their services are provided free of charge and they rely almost entirely on the generosity of the Greater Bristol community to raise the £4 million annual running costs. We intend to raise as much money as possible by way of a raffle and auction which will offer high quality prizes, and from the proceeds of the gaming table which will keep in the theme of the evening – Casino Royale.

The theme for this year is Casino Royale and you are being given a “Licence to Thrill” at this dazzling event. I might add here boys that you don’t need to be a Daniel Craig look-a-like in order to wow the girls! From the amount of relationships that develop through Eligiball it would appear that the saying is true “All men do look good in a tuxedo!”

The Marriott Hotel is offering Swerve guests the opportunity to stay the night at the specially discounted rate of £90 for a single room or £105 for a double – both offers include full breakfast. Eligiball - Casino Royale Programme:

	The evening will commence with a drinks reception with live music provided by Bristol’s very original Fromage en Feu.
	You will be greeted personally on arrival and introduced to other guests. Ice-breakers will ensure that everyone gets to meet as many other guests as possible (nothing embarrassing – promise!).
	Guests will be called to dinner at 8 pm and will be seated to a table plan (table plans will be available in the foyer on arrival to ensure guests know where they will be seated, thus avoiding congestion when entering the Kings Suite). A complimentary glass of wine will be served with dinner – further drinks can be purchased from the bar.
	The boys will be asked to change tables after the main course, giving everyone an opportunity to meet several of the other guests.
	After dinner we will be holding a prize draw and auction offering a variety of high quality prizes. A short address will be then be given by a representative from St Peter’s Hospice . We will obviously be trying to raise as much money as possible for the Hospice and would be delighted if each guest would be willing to purchase at least one £5 ticket (not compulsory of course!).
	And then …… it will be time for some serious fun and flirting, and dancing to the sounds of DJ Nick! Flirt cards will be available for you to give to anyone who catches your eye!

To keep in the theme of “Casino Royale” guests will be able to have a flutter on the Roulette and Black Jack tables – guests will be able to buy “fun money” and an excellent prize will be awarded to the person who wins the most money. Again, proceeds from the gaming tables will be donated to the Hospice.

This is definitely an event not to be missed! Who knows? You may be one of the many guests who will meet their perfect date at Eligiball? We hope so!!

Closing date for bookings is 17^th November – no bookings will be taken after that date – so book early to avoid disappointment.

Bookings will only be refunded provided at least 2 weeks’ notice is given. If a refund is not possible, tickets may be transferred – however, Swerve must be notified of any changes made.
